Council Meetings are held in-person at 160 Main Street, West Lorne, and the post-meeting recording available at www.westelgin.net, when available (pending no technical difficulties).

 

The Municipality will make a reasonable effort to ensure that live streaming and video recordings of 2025 Budget meetings are available to the public (Resolution No. 2025-175). However, there may be situations where the live streaming and video recordings may be unavailable or delayed due to technical difficulties. Meetings will not be cancelled or postponed due to technical issues with live streaming or recording of meetings if Council Chambers is physically open and accessible to the public. • Recommendation:

  That West Elgin Council hereby adopts the Special Meeting Minutes of May 28, 2025, as presented.

M. Badura, Manager of Corporate Services/Treasurer Re: 2025 Draft Budget Revisions

Magda Badura, Manager of Corporate Services/Treasurer to present second draft 2025 Operating Budget, with suggested revisions from Council. 

6.

Gas Tax By-law and Agreement

• Recommendation:

  That By-law 2025-31, Being a By-law to Authorize the Execution of an Agreement between His Majesty the King in Right of Ontario, as represented by the Minister of Transportation, and The Corporation of the Municipality of West Elgin for the Provision and Use of Dedicated Gas Tax Funds Under the Dedicated Gas Tax Funds for Public Transportation Program be read a first, second, third and final time.

Confirmatory By-law

• Recommendation:

  That By-law 2025-32, Being a By-Law to confirm the proceedings of the Special Meeting of Council held on June 3, 2025, be read a first, second and third and final time.

Adjournment

• Recommendation:

  That the Council of the Municipality of West Elgin hereby adjourn the Special Meeting of Council at ________ to meet again at 4:00pm,  on Thursday, June 5, 20205 (Special Meeting - Ward 3 Interviews) or at the call of the Chair.
