Magda presented a 10% increase or both municipalities would be facing some financial troubles in the coming years. The increases are in line with what other arenas are charging for 2023/2024, and these charges would come into effect for September 2024, so renters have sufficient notice to prepare for the increase. Zamboni conversion is on the back burner as they are weighing out the options of retrofitting an old machine, or purchasing a new one when the time comes to replace it.

As for the times in question, Saturdays 4-5:30pm and Sundays 8-10pm, the last month the Saturday slots have been booked out, and one Sunday slot was booked as well, meaning WLMH was not responsible to pay for those. They have switched the Sunday time slot to Wednesday for more accommodation to the younger groups that need the time with an overflowing age group.

57 members and the season has started great

Terry thanked the Arena staff for all of their help for the Black & Gold tournament last weekend. They have around 200 registered kids so far and their final numbers come beginning of December.

The first meeting was held and went through the overview and budgets of previous committee meetings. The second meeting will be coming up with more input from the Horvats and expand on ideas. Plan is for 2024 celebration.

no update at this time

Black & Gold tournament was last weekend and there is an U18 tournament in 2 weeks. West Elgin Municipality has launched Trumpia, a texting software to send out arena closures, so the clubs are asked to provide them notice as soon as possible if they are cancelling due to bad weather. Chairperson Ken complimented how clean and well kept the arena is.
