Call to Order

Mayor Leatham called the Special Meeting of Council to order at 8:33 am.

Adoption of Agenda

• Moved: Councillor Statham
  Seconded: Deputy Mayor Tellier

  That West Elgin Council hereby adopts the Special Meeting Agenda of September 23, 2024, as presented.

Disclosure of Pecuniary Interest

No disclosures

4.

Closed Session

• Moved: Councillor Denning
  Seconded: Councillor Statham

  That the Council of the Municipality of West Elgin Council hereby proceeds into Closed Session at 8:34am, to discuss matters pursuant to the Municipal Act, Section 239 (2)(a), being the security of the property of the municipality or local board; And Section 239 (2)(e), being litigation or potential litigation, including matters before administrative tribunals, affecting the municipality or local board.

Report from Closed Session

Report from Closed Session at 8:54am.

Council received two (2) items pursuant to Section 239(2) of the Municipal Act, 2001, for information and discussion purposes. Council provided staff with administrative direction.

Confirmatory By-law

• Moved: Councillor Statham
  Seconded: Councillor Denning

  That By-law 2024-68 being a By-law to confirm the proceeding of the Special Meeting of Council held on September 23, 2024, be read a first, second and third and final time.

Adjournment

• That the Council of the Municipality of West Elgin hereby adjourn the Special Meeting of Council at 8:56 am to meet again at 4:00pm, on Thursday, September 26, 2024, or at the call of the Chair.
