Question Period

Each Council Member is permitted to pose a maximum of two (2) questions to each applicant.

Upon hearing all applicant's submissions, Council will take a short recess.

4.3

Applicant Nomination

Council Members nominate an applicant to be appointed.

Resolution requiring a mover and seconder is in order to discuss.

The Chair calls for the vote and a simple majority is required.

If a simple majority is not achieved for the first nominated applicant, the Chair will call for motions to nominate a different applicant and proceed with the process as outlined above.

• Recommendation:

  THAT the Council of the Municipality of West Elgin nominates and appoints _______________________ to fill the Vacancy of the Office of the Mayor.

Confirming By-Law

• Recommendation:

  That By-law 2023-37, being a by-law to confirm the proceedings of the Special Meeting of Council held on May 18, 2023, be read a first, second and third and final time.

  That the Council of the Municipality of West Elgin hereby adjourns the Special Council meeting at ____________ to re-meet at 9:30 a.m.on May 25, 2023 or at the call of the Chair.
