Chair Taraesa Tellier called the meeting to order at 7:13 p.m.

Disclosure of Pecuniary Interest

Staff Reports

 

Going forward with 8 shuffleboard courts and 4 pickleball courts at the Rec Center. Just waiting on date of install and staff will notify the main contacts of the groups to coordinate with them on timing.

Canada Day Grant

 

As the grant is due by November 21st, we are moving forward with the same budget as we applied for before and will work the details out at a future meeting.

2024 Budget

 

This will be discussed at the next meeting.

Posting for New Member

 

Brainstorming on thinking outside of the box with people that are involved in the community, but not necessary have any athletic background just for diversity or representation from the schools, etc.... Also potential to look for a high school student who is interested in a recreation career. Want to look into the idea of having non-voting members.

Holiday Decorating Contest

 

Sign up to be posted asap for people to enter. Judging starts the night of the parade and goes to the following friday (dec 1st). Gift cards to local businesses like last year. Will have some posters or signs out at the night market encouraging people to participate.
